The Adam Sub10 Mk2 and Sub12 are powerful subwoofers that are designed to expand on the low frequency possibilities of any near-field or midfield monitoring system. It's ideal in combination with the AX series or SX series monitors.
Features of the Sub10 Mk2 and Sub12
In terms of the characteristics of this Sub, the large 2-inch voice coil is driven by a 200 Watt ICE power amp, which won't overheat thanks to the PWM technology. Multiple power supply elements ensure a total efficiency of 90%, so you can reach maximum capacity without worrying about damaging the electronic parts or driver.
Audio Output of the Adam Subwoofer
The Sub10 Mk2 is equipped with a 10-inch woofer and produces a frequency response of 25 Hz to 150 Hz. The larger Sub12 has a 12-inch woofer and delivers a sound pressure level that's 3 dB more. It can also reproduce frequencies as low as 22 Hz! Both models operate with the down-firing bass reflex tube, and the its large size prevents it from unwanted ventilation sounds. For larger spaces or higher volume levels, daisy-chain multiple Adam Subs! All inputs and outputs have both XLR and RCA connectors.

Ik heb deze Sub12 gekocht als aanvulling voor mijn Adam A7X monitoren, maar ook toen ik later overstapte op de Yamaha HS8 bleef ik gebruik maken van deze subwoofer. Een beetje overkill wellicht; het is een enorm ding. Het laag is mooi gedefinieerd. Bij gebruik van dergelijke subwoofers moet je er natuurlijk wel op letter dat je akoestiek op orde is. Het fijne aan deze sub is dat je je speakers via deze sub kunt aansluiten. Op die manier kun je de instellingen achterop de sub gebruiken voor een goede cross-over positie. De polariteitsknop komt bij de plaatsing ook van pas.
